Please note that Journal of International Studies uses Crossref Similarity check to screen papers for original material. By submitting your paper to Journal of International Studies you are agreeing to originality checks during the peer-review and production processes. You may also send us via e-mail.

There are no submission fees, publication fees or page charges for this journal.
Peer review
This journal operates a double blind review process. All contributions are typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. The Editor's decision is final.
Preparation of the manuscript
General requirements: Submitted manuscripts must describe original research not previously published and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
When submitting, the authors should be required to confirm that:
Important NOTE: Manuscripts may be editorially rejected, without review, unsuitable for the journal because it does not reach an acceptable level of quality, is outside the scientific aims and scope of the journal or contains evidence of scientific fraud.
Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Please be aware that some publishers do not grant electronic rights for free and that the journal/publisher will not be able to refund any costs that may have occurred to receive these permissions. In such cases, material from other sources should be used. Authors must submit evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their manuscript. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
This journal is committed to upholding the integrity of the scientific record. As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) the journal will follow the COPE guidelines on how to deal with potential acts of misconduct. The journal articles distribute under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY) International License and uses the Similarity Check, Crossref to screen for PLAGIARISMS.
Authors should refrain from misrepresenting research results which could damage the trust in the journal, the professionalism of scientific authorship, and ultimately the entire scientific endeavour. Maintaining integrity of the research and its presentation is helped by following the rules of good scientific practice, which include*:
The Journal assume all authors agreed with the content and that all gave explicit consent to submit and that they obtained consent from the responsible authorities at the institute/organization where the work has been carried out, before the work is submitted.
The Publisher does not prescribe the kinds of contributions that warrant authorship. It is recommended that authors adhere to the guidelines for authorship that are applicable in their specific research field. In absence of specific guidelines it is recommended to adhere to the following guidelines*:
All authors whose names appear on the submission
1) made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; or the creation of new software used in the work;
2) drafted the work or revised it critically for important intellectual content;
3) approved the version to be published; and
4) agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Copyright on any research article in the Journal of International Studies is retained by the author(s).
The authors grant the Journal of International Studies a license to publish and distribute the article and identify itself as the original publisher.

Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be typed single-space, using Arial 12 pt. as the advised font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); lines must be numbered continuously. Do not use footnotes in the text. Paper size should be A4 (210´297 mm, 8.27´11.69 inches). Send a single file, which contain the manuscript and all the tables and figures inserted at the appropriate points. If need send a separate file of image, picture, graphics and others.
Organization of manuscript
Manuscripts should be composed of Title page and Main text.
Language
Please write your text in Mongolian language. Also Title, Abstract and keywords should be in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these).
Title page
The first page of the manuscript should contain the following items:.
Author names. Please list the first name, middle initial(s), and last name of each author in descending order of their contributions to the article. Individuals who provided technical or administrative support should be recognized in the Acknowledgments section.
One author is assigned as Corresponding Author and acts on behalf of all co-authors and ensures that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately addressed.
Author identification
Authors are recommended to use their ORCID ID when submitting an article for consideration or acquire an ORCID ID via the submission process the ORCID.
Author affiliations. The names of all authors affiliated with a particular institution should be listed directly above the affiliation. Each affiliation should include the department, institution, city, state (spelled out, if applicable), with the ZIP/postal code, and country for each author. Multiple affiliations should be marked with superscript Arabic numbers, and they should each start on a new line.
Corresponding author. The name, complete mailing address, telephone and e-mail address should be provided for the author responsible for correspondence. The name of the corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*). Mailing and e-mail addresses will appear in print and online. Journal of International Studies. applies the ORCID ® persistent digital identifier as a way to ensure proper authorship normalization for corresponding authors.
The Corresponding Author is responsible for the following requirements:
* The requirement of managing all communication between the journal and all co-authors during submission and proofing may be delegated to a Contact or Submitting Author. In this case please make sure the Corresponding Author is clearly indicated in the manuscript.
Abstract
Abstract of 150-300 words in length outlining the aims and subject matters. Avoid non-standard or uncommon abbreviations but if essential they must by defined when first used.
Keywords
For indexing purposes, provide 3-7 keywords, which indicate the essentials of the research work. Keywords should be written in italic font and separate them with a comma (,).
Main text
Text Formatting
Manuscripts should be submitted in Word.
Please use no more than three levels of displayed headings.
Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.
Tables
Footnotes can be used to give additional information, which may include the citation of a reference included in the reference list. They should not consist solely of a reference citation, and they should never include the bibliographic details of a reference. They should also not contain any figures or tables.
Footnotes to the text are numbered consecutively; those to tables should be indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data). Footnotes to the title or the authors of the article are not given reference symbols.
Always use footnotes instead of endnotes.
Figures
Figures must be prepared and saved in JPEG format, and inserted in the manuscript at the appropriate points and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals (e.g. Figure 1) in order of their appearance. Scanned or digital photographs should be in high resolution, minimum 300 dpi. For vector graphics, the line width is 0.2 mm (i.e. 0.5 points), font size 8 pt, colour should be black and units should be indicated in parentheses. Do not label axis only with units. Caption every figure at the bottom of the figures followed by the figure notes. Figure captions should be as brief as possible and might be centered in 11 pt Bold, Italic font. Abbreviations used in the figure may be explained in the legend. Color prints are accepted, but printing costs are to be burned by the author (s).
Units
Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI). If other units are mentioned, please give their equivalent in SI.
Structural formulae
Structural formulae should be drawn in the manuscript at the correct position. They may be numbered in the order of their appearance with Arabic numerals in parentheses.
Trademarks
Trademarks should not appear in the title. Avoid using brand names in the main text wherever possible. Provide explanations for trademarks when they first appear in the text. The first letter of trademarks should be capitalized.
Conclusion
It is an optional section that summarizes results in a concise form. If discussion is too long, authors and advised to provide a conclusion to sum up of results interpretation with suggested recommendations. Avoid repetition of the points made in the previous sections.
Acknowledgements
Acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section on the title page. The names of funding organizations should be written in full, followed by the grant number in square brackets.
The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and unpublished works should only be mentioned in the text. Do not use footnotes or endnotes as a substitute for a reference list.
Reference list entries should be numberized.
Journal names and book titles should be italicized.

Conflict of Interest
Author A has received research grants from Company A. Author B has received a speaker honorarium from Company X and owns stock in Company Y. Author C is a member of committee Z.
If no conflict exists, the authors should state:
Conflict of Interest: The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.
The primary affiliation for each author should be the institution where the majority of their work was done. If an author has subsequently moved, the current address may additionally be stated. Addresses will not be updated or changed after publication of the article.
Authors are strongly advised to ensure the correct author group, the Corresponding Author, and the order of authors at submission. Changes of authorship by adding or deleting authors, and/or changes in Corresponding Author, and/or changes in the sequence of authors are not accepted after acceptance of a manuscript.
Please make sure that the names of all authors are present and correctly spelled, and that addresses and affiliations are current.
Adding and/or deleting authors at revision stage are generally not permitted, but in some cases it may be warranted. Reasons for these changes in authorship should be explained. Approval of the change during revision is at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief. Please note that journals may have individual policies on adding and/or deleting authors during revision stage.
For cases in which a co-author dies or is incapacitated during the writing, submission, or peer-review process, and the co-authors feel it is appropriate to include the author, co-authors should obtain approval from a (legal) representative which could be a direct relative.
In the case of an authorship dispute during peer review or after acceptance and publication, the Journal will not be in a position to investigate or adjudicate. Authors will be asked to resolve the dispute themselves. If they are unable the Journal reserves the right to withdraw a manuscript from the editorial process or in case of a published paper raise the issue with the authors’ institution(s) and abide by its guidelines.
Manuscripts not conforming to the above guidelines are liable to returned to the authors for correction.

Mongolia Journals Online (MongoliaJOL) is a member of the Ubiquity Partner Network coordinated by Ubiquity Press. According to the EU definitions, MongoliaJOL is the data controller, and Ubiquity Press are the service providers and data processors. Ubiquity Press provide the technical platform and some publishing services to MongoliaJOL and operate under the principle of data minimisation where only the minimal amount of personal data that is required to carry out a task is obtained.

We regularly backup our databases, and we use reliable cloud service providers (Amazon, Google Cloud, Linode) to ensure they are kept securely. Backups are regularly rotated and the old data is permanently deleted. We have a clear internal data handling policy, restricting access to the data and backups to key employees only. In case of a data breach, we will report the breach to the affected users, and to the press/journal contacts within 72 hours.
Personal information is only used to deliver the services provided by the publisher. Personal data is not shared externally except for author names, affiliations, emails, and links to ORCiD and social media accounts (if provided) in published articles and books which are displayed as part of the article/book and shared externally to indexes and databases. If a journal operates under open peer review then the reviewer details are published alongside the reviewer details.
