About the Journal

Aim and Scope

Bulletin of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology (BICCT) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. The journal publishes full articles in Mongolian and only the title, keywords and abstract are included in English.
BICCT was originated when the first journal on chemistry under the title Chemical analysis brochure has been published for the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the foundation of the scientific organization in Mongolia. It was renamed as Bulletin of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology in 2014. We received p-ISSN (2414-0597) in 2015.
It publishes refereed, original research articles and reviews describing all aspects of the chemistry and chemical technology. The outline of the journal scopes includes:

  • Biochemistry and biotechnology
  • Environmental and ecological chemistry
  • Food chemistry
  • Inorganic chemistry
  • Material science and technology
  • Natural product chemistry and phytochemistry
  • Organic chemistry

Түүнчлэн, уг сэтгүүлийг 1995 оноос “Reports of the Chemistry Institute”, 2005 оноос “Annual Scientific Reports”, 2010 оноос “Mongolian Journal of Chemistry” нэртэйгээр англи хэл дээр мөн эрхлэн гаргаж ирсэн. (Bulletin of Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology)

Peer Review Process

BICCT follows the double-blind peer-review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to an intensive peer review in consultation with members of the journal’s editorial board and independent external referees (usually 2-3 reviewers).

Reviewers are asked to evaluate a manuscript for:

  • Suitability in terms of content and novelty;
  • Coverage of appropriate existing literature;
  • Adequacy of methodology, analysis, and interpretation;
  • Relative importance;
  • Language of composition

All manuscripts are assessed within a suitable time and the decision based on all the peer reviewers’ comments, taken by the journal’s Editor-in-Chief.

Submissions from the Editor-in-Chief will undergo independent peer-review and will be submitted to another editor for a decision on acceptance.

The average duration of manuscript processing from submission to the final decision is 9-10 weeks.

Audience

Chemists and chemical engineers.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published annually.
