About journal
The “Tsats” Journal is peer-reviewed journal published by the Mongolian National Defense University (MNDU). It serves as a professional platform for disseminating and promoting the scientific and research findings of the university’s scholars, researchers, faculty members, graduate students, cadets, and undergraduates, thereby contributing to the advancement and circulation of scientific knowledge.
In 2001, the Military University was renamed “Academic Threshold,” and in 2015, “Tsats” was renamed, and the editorial board was reorganized by the order of the university director. The journal is aimed at making the results of scientific research and the research of scientists, researchers, teachers, advanced students, listeners, and students of the Military University accessible to the public, promoting them, and introducing them into scientific circulation.
The name "Tsats" means in Mongolian language the following:
- TS-Military training and research;
- A-Security and defense;
- TS-Military armament, technology and innovation.
Scope and Coverage
The “Tsats” Journal is a professional academic periodical that publishes research papers at the national and international level in the following areas:
- Security and Defense Studies
- Defense Education and Military Training
- Military Technology, Armament, and Innovation Research
- Research Methodology and Academic Development
In addition to works by MNDU faculty and students, the journal also accepts research papers from domestic and international scholars working in related fields.
Principles of publication:
- Publish articles that have not been published before, are scientifically based, developed within the legal framework, and meet research ethics;
- Ensuring the transparency of citations, citation accuracy, and non-inconsistency of sources;
- Ensuring information security and not using materials related to state and official secrets.

The journal accepts the results of basic and related research, new ideas and innovations in the field of defense and other science and technology. The types of works accepted in this journal are as follows. It includes:
