Animal sacrifice from the burial Tumstiin Uvur

In 2025, the field research team of the Mongolian-Turkish joint project "Turkic and Uyghur Settlements in Tuul Valley" conducted archaeological survey and excavation at a site known as Tumstiin Uvur, located in Zaamar sum, Tuv Province, Mongolia. During the excavation, three burial sites were investigated. The study resulted in the discovery and analysis of paleozoological remains, including skulls and limb bones of horses, cattle, sheep and dogs.
